Victoria Thomas Bowen – the woman accused of assault by beating and criminal damage after a milkshake was thrown over Nigel Farage – has arrived at court for her trial.

The 25-year-old from Clacton-on-Sea is due to face trial at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today, October 21 2024.

The Reform UK leader appeared to be doused in a McDonald’s banana drink while on the election trail in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, on June 4.

He was leaving the Moon and Starfish Wetherspoon pub having earlier addressed supporters at a rally in the seaside town during the general election campaign.

Mr Farage was left with the yellow liquid splattered across his suit.

Prosecutors allege that £30 worth of criminal damage was caused to a jacket belonging to a member of Mr Farage’s team.

Ms Bowen denied the attack and later pleaded not guilty to both assault and criminal damage charges at the same court

Caroline Liggins, representing Bowen, said: “My client strongly protests her innocence and looks forward to fighting these unjust charges in court.”

Reform UK leader Mr Farage, 60, is now MP for the town after winning the seat at the 4 July election with an 8,405 majority.
