The emergency services are urging people to steer clear, after an incident involving a plane in Chesterfield.
Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said a plane has “come down” on Sheepbridge Lane to the north of the town, close to the A61.
Posting on X, emergency services said they are currently tending to a light aircraft that has come down on Sheepbridge Lane in #Chesterfield. 3 fire crews @DerbysPolice and @EMASNHSTrust are in attendance. Please avoid the area.”
Sheepbridge Lane is predominantly an industrial estate but it is surrounded by farmland, woodland, a brook and a rugby club.
