A bomb threat has caused hundreds of people to be evacuated from their homes and businesses.
Reports of a ‘grenade’ found in the boot of a car has prompted a huge emergency response in Bootle this afternoon.
A cordon is in place after it was first reported at around 1.10pm, with those nearby evacuated as a precaution, Merseyside Police told Liverpool Echo.
